God instructed my daughter and me to prepare for a transition. As excitement welled up within me, the uncertainty of the unknown also lingered. However, I chose not to let fear of what I couldn't foresee overshadow the joy and anticipation I felt for this new chapter we’ve been awaiting.

When God speaks, we must stand firm on His word and trust in His promises. He is a God who cannot and will not lie. Even when the "when" and "where" remain unclear, we must trust that it will happen. We are called to walk by faith, believing that it has already come to pass. Our faith must align with God’s word, and we must be ready to receive what He has prepared for us.
As we enter a new month, we often find ourselves on the cusp of transition—a time when God moves us from one season to the next. These moments can feel overwhelming, filled with unknowns and uncertainties. It’s easy to cling to what’s familiar, yet God calls us to step forward in faith, trusting that He has a plan for each season of our lives.
1. Trusting God’s Timing
Transition can feel like standing on a bridge between where we’ve been and where God is leading us. We often want to rush across, but God’s timing is perfect. Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us, “To everything, there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.” Every transition has a purpose, whether it’s to grow our faith, deepen our relationship with Him, or prepare us for the blessings ahead.
Let’s be patient, knowing that God’s timing is always best. He’s not just preparing the new place for us; He’s also preparing us for the new place.
2. Embracing Change with a Willing Heart
Change can be uncomfortable, but God often uses these times to shape us. Think of Peter when Jesus called him to walk on water. He had to step out of the boat, leaving behind the comfort of what he knew, and trust that Jesus would sustain him on the waters. Like Peter, we, too, are called to step out, trusting that Jesus will carry us even in the unknown.
Transition may reveal weaknesses or doubts, but God’s grace is sufficient. When we embrace change with a willing heart, we open ourselves up to His refining work.
3. Anchoring in Prayer and the Word

In seasons of transition, prayer and time in the Word are crucial. Prayer connects us with the Holy Spirit, our Guide, Comforter, and Counselor. In moments of uncertainty, He gives us peace that surpasses understanding. And as we read the Word, God reveals His promises, assuring us that He will never leave us or forsake us.
Joshua 1:9 reminds us, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Holding on to His promises gives us courage and strength to press on, even when the journey is difficult.
4. Surrendering Our Plans to God
Transitions often challenge us to let go of our own plans and trust God’s will. Proverbs 3:5-6 instructs us to “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” When we surrender our plans, we invite God to take control, aligning our steps with His purpose.
In times of change, it’s helpful to write down our prayers and thoughts, offering them to God. Surrender isn’t a one-time event—it’s a daily practice of releasing control and saying, “Lord, not my will, but Yours be done.”
5. Remembering His Faithfulness
Finally, remember the times God has carried you before. Reflect on past transitions where He showed up, providing exactly what you needed. Each time we remember His faithfulness, our faith is strengthened. God, who was faithful then, will be faithful now.
As we journey through this month of transition, let’s remember that we’re not alone. God goes before us, walks beside us, and surrounds us with His love and guidance. Transition may be uncertain, but with Him, we can move forward confidently, knowing He holds the future.
May this month be one of courage, surrender, and a deeper trust in the One who never changes. Embrace the transition, knowing that God has good things in store. Let’s walk forward together, hand in hand with Him, ready to step into the next season He has prepared.
Let us Pray:
Heavenly Father,We come before You with hearts full of gratitude, trusting in Your perfect plan for our lives. You, O Lord, are the Creator of all things, and we know that in every season, You are with us. As we face this transition, we choose to walk forward with faith, knowing that You have gone before us. Your Word says in Isaiah 43:19, “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”
Lord, we embrace the new thing You are doing in our lives. Though the path may seem uncertain, we trust that You are making a way where there seems to be no way. You are our guide, and we will not fear. Your Word assures us in Psalm 32:8, “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”
Father, we choose to stand on Your promises, knowing that You are faithful to fulfill every word spoken over our lives. Even when the future seems unclear, we walk by faith and not by sight, for You have said in 2 Corinthians 5:7, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
We ask You to strengthen our hearts and minds during this time of change. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts, as Your Word declares in Philippians 4:7, “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Lord, we know that with You, all things are possible. Help us to trust in Your timing, even when we cannot see the full picture. Your Word in Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
We surrender our fears and doubts into Your hands, and we declare that we will not be moved by the unknown. We walk forward with joy and confidence, knowing that You are faithful to bring to completion every good work You have begun in us, as Philippians 1:6 promises, “Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”
Thank You, Lord, for the strength to move forward, for the courage to embrace change, and for the faith to trust in Your perfect plan. We give You all the glory, honor, and praise. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
