Behind the Scenes: Let God Finish the Work Before the Reveal

We live in a world full of noise, constant updates, endless scrolling, and pressure to always be "doing" something. But what happens when God calls you into a quiet season? A season that feels lonely, still, and stripped of the usual noise. A season where you’re not just called to stand still, but to be silent.
It’s in these sacred, often misunderstood seasons that God does His deepest work.
“The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” Exodus 14:14
This Season May Look Lonely
You might feel isolated. Forgotten. Like everyone else is making progress while you’re stuck in place. But let me reassure you God has not forgotten you. He’s simply pulled you aside, into a quiet room where the noise of the world is silenced so you can finally hear Him clearly. You see, we’ve been walking in too much noise for too long. We’ve confused movement with progress, and talking with obedience.
But in this season, God is saying:
“Be still, and know that I am God...” – Psalm 46:10
Stop Talking. Stop Sharing.
Sometimes God gives you a glimpse, a vision, a word, a revelation and our first instinct is to tell someone. Post it. Share it. Celebrate it. But just because He shared it with you, doesn’t mean He wants you to share it with others. At least, not yet.
“To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1
This is your preparation season, not your announcement season. The quiet is not a punishment; it’s divine protection and preservation.
Like a Movie in Production

Think of it this way: when a movie is being made, the public doesn’t get to see behind the scenes. There's no trailer, no interviews, no hype until the filming, editing, and perfecting is complete. Even then, the first thing released isn’t the full movie. It’s a press release, a short glimpse to generate anticipation. In the same way, God is producing something in you. You are the behind-the-scenes project He’s carefully directing, editing, and preparing.
“For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.” Habakkuk 2:3
Don’t release what God is still developing. If you do, you risk exposing something unfinished, and out of divine timing. He is not only writing your story He’s also producing it for His glory.
God Is Working Behind the Scenes
You may feel like nothing is happening, but in reality, God is:
Preparing your heart
Refining your character
Aligning key people and circumstances
Sharpening your discernment
Revealing your hidden motives
He’s developing your assignment, and when the time is right, He’ll release you just like a studio releases a finished film.
“Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.” 1 Peter 5:6
Embrace the Quiet
Stop fighting the silence. Don’t rush to be seen, heard, or validated. There is power in obscurity, because that’s where God prepares His vessels. The quiet season is not a curse, it's a divine setup. A holy hush before a supernatural unveiling.
“But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.” Matthew 6:6
Final Word
When God is silent, He’s not absent. When He tells you to be quiet, it’s because He’s speaking just in a different frequency. So walk slowly. Listen deeply. Stay hidden. And trust the process. Because when it’s time, the world will know. Not because you made noise, but because God released you.
